Literature Evangelist Training Event
This annual training event is an opportunity to receive training in how to share Jesus through Adventist literature, providing both theory and practical training for Regular LE, Jump Start and Student Literature Evangelism. The first week includes presentations and interactive learning. This will be followed by a week of field mentoring at the Windsor LE Outreach. You will learn a wholistic approach to ministry, including how to connect with new people quickly, Christian sales presentations, reaching different people groups, product knowledge and goals in ministry.
Dates
11-23 February, 2024
Arrive Sunday 11th February. Transfers provided at 2pm from Hornsby train station to Jacaranda Lodge. Dinner will be served at 6pm.
Depart Friday 23rd February. Transfers provided to Windsor train station at 12 noon.
Venue
The theory component will run from 11–16 February and will be conducted at Adventist Media, 150 Fox Valley Road, Wahroonga.
The practical outreach component will run from 16 – 23 February and will be hosted by Windsor Seventh-day Adventist Church, 93 Macquarie Street, Windsor.
Accommodation
From 11–16 February accommodation will be at Jacaranda Lodge on the grounds of Sydney Adventist Hospital, 185 Fox Valley Road, Wahroonga. Check in is available from 2pm on the 11th.
From 16-23 February accommodation will be at Windsor Church hall.
Costs
All costs of the event, including transfers, accommodation and meals, will be covered by Literature Ministry. You only need to pay the costs of your own transport to and from the event.
Availability
Limited spaces are available for people living in Australia and New Zealand. Preference will be given to:
- LEs wanting to upskill,
- New LEs,
- Student LEs,
- Interested persons who have submitted an approved application and learnt a canvass, and
- Those who have completed the first five lessons of the Like a Mighty Army online course.
- All applicants need to be church members in good standing.
