He has dedicated over twenty years to Literature Ministry, beginning as a full-time Literature Evangelist (LE) in 2001. In response to God’s call, Tony commenced literature ministry in Auckland 1973 and enjoyed working door-to-door until 1983, when he was called to be Assistant Publishing Director in NZ. Since that time, he has been privileged to hold positions of leadership in both ABC ministry and Literature Ministry in Australia and the Pacific Islands, coaching committed Adventists to sell truth-filled literature to prepare a remnant people for Christ’s return. Tony is currently the Associate Literature Ministries Director for the Pacific Islands working with twelve area managers to recruit and train LE’s for an exciting soul winning career with rewards that are ‘out of this world’.
Harley is passionate about equipping and empowering young people for door-to-door literature evangelism. His journey began at fifteen, when he attended his first program as a student literature evangelist—and he’s been hooked ever since. In 2014, Harley canvassed in a three month Youth Rush program in Michigan, where he caught the vision for bringing the program to Australia. While studying to become a pastor at Avondale, he supported himself as a Jumpstart LE before leading his first student literature evangelism program in Romania in 2018. His passion for Youth Rush in Australia remained strong, and a few years later, he helped spearhead one of the first Youth Rush programs in Australia in the South Queensland Conference. Today, Harley serves as Assistant Coordinator of Literature Ministry for the SPD in the area of Youth Literature Evangelism, as the Literature Ministries Leader for the North New South Wales Conference, and as the pastor of a local church. He is married to Eliza, and together they have two little boys, Montgomery and Lincoln.
